Position: Chief Technology Officer
Location: Gulf Coast of Alabama
Industry: Aluminum Production
Compensation: $115,000 Base with Full Relocation and Temp Housing
SUMMARY
Our Client is a Small, Privately Held Industry Leader with International Brand Recognition. We are looking for a CTO with Executive Level Leadership Skills. You will lead our clients Technology Center and provide the Company with state-of-the-art Information Technology services that will increase their competitive advantages and help them stay in compliance.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop strategic plans and polices to ensure hardware, software, and infrastructure capabilities are responsive to the Company's growth and objectives
Develop and implement short and long term Technology Center goals
Identify and assess emerging technologies to determine their potential value to the Company
Advise senior management on issues involving information technology
Oversee the development, design, and implementation of new applications as well as
modifications to existing computer systems and software packages. To include: ERP, Sales Packages and Human Resources Packages.
Ensure the security of information systems, communication lines and equipment
Develop, implement, and review back-up and disaster recovery plans and procedures
Provide training and support to all company divisions for all computing and information
technology efforts
Responsible for the acquisition of all information technology services and equipment
Prepare an annual Technology Center budget and an annual Company technology budget
Recruit, train and manage the Technology Center's staff
EXPERIENCE
IBM iSeries (OS400) and manufacturing, distribution, and accounting systems
Microsoft Windows Server 2007, Exchange Server 2008, Windows PC's, and VoIP telephony
systems
Two years in an information technology management position.
Five years as a developer/analyst preferred
Lean Manufacturing experience preferred
Contract negotiation
Implement and integrate new information technology solutions
Change management
SKILLS
A minimum 10+ years experience and/or degree in Information Technology in a manufacturing
environment. A Masters Degree in Information Technology or Business preferred.
Ability to manage the entire spectrum of information technology operations
Ability to simultaneously manage several projects while motivating teams to produce quality
results in a timely manner
Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings within all levels of the organization
The role requires a candidate with great communication and people skills. Building by consensus
and clear communication is important to our Lean culture.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems and/or 10+ years
experience in a manufacturing environment. A Master degree in Information Technology or
business is preferred.
