A $5 Billion Dollar innovator of manufactured Automotive and Industrial components currently has an outstanding opportunity in a beautiful location!  They have an urgent need for a Plant Controller at their flagship manufacturing location in Illinois. The Plant Controller is a vital part of the plant Leadership Team as well as the overall Corporate Accounting and Finance Group.  This Fortune 500 Company has been in business for over 100 years, and offers a highly competitive compensation package along with growth potential in a challenging and exciting work environment!!  

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

·         Direction and coordination of all accounting functions, financial reporting, and financial analysis for the plant.

·         Supervise the accounting & finance team

·         Lead Plant Management Team in financial analysis of operation.

·         Monitor and analyze the indicators of operations performance and recommend corrective action if needed.

·         Prepare and present financial reports along with coordinating financial reporting

·         Direct, and coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and full year financial forecasts and reports.

·         Develop and maintain accounting and analysis methods that meet the requirements of the company and comply with government regulations.

·         Review and approve all cost savings calculations for completeness and accuracy.

·         Responsibility for accuracy and timeliness of cost quotations to sales team/customers.

 

Requirements:

 

·         Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration, MBA preferred. 

·         Professional certification, either CPA or CMA, is desired.

·         Minimum of 5 years experience as a Plant Controller in a manufacturing environment

·         Demonstrated experience developing or significantly improving a Budget process required

·         Must have Sarbanes-Oxley experience as well

·         Strong leadership and people skills along with excellent communication required

·         Solid understanding of sales forecasting and inventory management
