Plant Manager
Our client is a Fortune 500, worldwide leader in automotive and transportation technology. They have an immediate need for a Plant Manager. Our client has been in business for over 100 years and they design & manufacture products for every major vehicle producer in the world. Responsibilities
· Establishes and implements world class manufacturing processes
· Responsible for all functions in a 400 employee unionized plant
· Provide leadership for all site functions
· Responsible for leading the continuous improvement efforts
· Lead cultural transformation
· Operational P&L for the site
· Significantly reduce direct costs, improve quality, and shrink inventory.
Requirements:
· Strong financial acumen and ability to drive to metrics
· Self-starter - results-oriented with a record of demonstrated successes accomplished through teamwork
· Have superior communication skills and teaching abilities
· Detail oriented and very hands on in a manufacturing environment
· Experience with machining processes strongly preferred
· Prior Program Management experience required
· Strong Quality Systems background
· Bachelors Degree with preference in mechanical engineering or a related technical discipline, advanced degree a plus
· A minimum of 10 years in a plant leadership role in a manufacturing environment
· Union experience required
· Strong track record of driving and implementing lean manufacturing / Toyota Production Systems
· Prior leadership, strategy development, and broad business acumen
