Division Sales Manager

 

Our Client

Almost one year ago, the Number Two and Number Three National Player in Solid Waste merged and created one of the largest Environmental Service Companies in the World.   This Mega Billion Dollar Powerhouse continues to grow their New England Market Share through Exceptional Sales and Operations Leadership, a highly energetic and customer centric workforce and Process's and Resources that dominate the industry.   They have asked our help to identify a Division Sales Manager in their Fall River, Massachusetts Market.

 

Position Summary

Support division financial goals; achieve sales and account management department goals and objectives; and manage sales and customer retention staff to optimize department performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 

·         Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing  plans.

·         Responsible for achieving sales goals for division.

·         Develop and oversee sales and account management department relating to hiring, training, coaching, goal attainment and discipline.

·         Responsible for Inside Sales Representatives, New Business Growth Representatives and Customer Retention Executives within two Market Centers in the Division

·         Utilize both system (ASR) and other tracking tools necessary to measure individual and division sales performance.

·         Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.

·         Review market analyses to make appropriate sales decisions.

·         Direct sales forecasting activities.

·         Establish and assign sales territories including setting quotas and goals.

·         Analyze sales statistics to formulate policy and assist reps in promoting sales.

·         Promote customer service standardization.

·         Meet with key clients; assist sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.

·         Deliver sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.

·         Analyze and control expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.

·         Monitor and evaluate the activities and services of the competition.

·         Recommend or approve budgets and expenditures for sales related needs.

·         Represent company at major industry trade shows or meetings.

Minimum Qualifications

·         Bachelor's degree in business or marketing or other related field; three to five years related outside sales experience and/or training.

·         One to two years of sales management experience in a B2B Service Industry

·         Student of Requirements Based or Solutions Based Sales Process

·         Mastery of Sales Process and ability to lead workforce that focuses on different sales cycles

·         Experience in leading sales staff. Performed functions of Hiring, training, developing, coaching, disciplining and conducting performance reviews with subordinates.

·         Ability to analyze and interpret general and financial business reports. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

·         Experience and knowledge of customer service processes and operations.

·         Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations and conclude with a resolution.

·         Contract and Price Management Experience

·         Proven Track Record of Developing Sales Plans to minimize shrinkage within existing customer relationships

·         Knowledge and hands on skills with Microsoft Word and Excel.

·         Must successfully pass the Pre-employment Assessment Evaluation MSP (Management Success Profile).

·         Must be able to travel 50% of the time

Leadership Development Program

In their State of the Art 50,000 SF manufacturing facility, they have dominated the framing and Customized Fixture Industry, serving Big Box Retail Chains to small boutiques for nearly Twenty Five years.    

Initially, you will be responsible for accurately determining the manufacturing costs, including material, labor and overhead, consistent with the company's overall pricing strategy and profitability

Title:   Leadership Development Program- Manufacturing

Primary Responsibilities  


Prepare and outline costs associated with the production of store fixtures and frames by analyzing blueprints and specifications, compiling material costs, estimating labor costs, requesting and collecting subcontractor pricing, calculating installation and delivery cost, and lastly finalizing, logging and submitting bids

* Leverage our ERP system to drive standardization in the quoting process and pricing analysis
* Utilize understanding of color and material specifications, charts, or manuals for individual projects for cost and pricing analysis
* Compile and maintain data history for client, project, or specific item for cost and pricing analysis
* Maintain estimate/quote log for analysis purposes
* Work with Project Management, Purchasing and Production teams to determine best methods and materials for manufacturing
* Act as liaison with production to perform time studies, learn new manufacturing methods and processes to reduce costs and improve quality
* Prepare reports to illustrate quote win/loss scorecards by customer
* Create tools to analyze results of job cost studies to determine accuracy of estimate and determine actual project cost versus estimated cost

Looking FOR:

* Related Degree in Business, Accounting, Engineering or equivalent experience

* Must have an aptitude for mathematics.

*
Proven time management skills with strong sense of urgency to complete tasks
* Ability to gather vendor pricing information and get the lowest prices possible

* Costing or Estimating background in manufacturing a must                                                                                                      

* Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills with ability to express professional verbal and written communications

* Computer literacy with knowledge of ERP, Microsoft Suite and Lotus programs

* Ability to work closely with sales reps

* Desire and aptitude to be groomed and rotate into other facets of the business

 PREFER


*Knowledge of manufacturing and finishing aspects of wood and metal fabrication preferred


*Experience of wood and/or metal manufacturing in the store fixture industry
