A global, innovative, automotive component manufacturer has an immediate need for a High-Potential Senior Quality Engineer.   Our client designs & manufactures products for all major automotive manufacturers including Toyota and Honda.   They offer a very competitive compensation package along with significant growth potential and a challenging and exciting work environment!
 
A successful Senior Quality Engineer will have experience in both Machining and Die Casting. Additionally, he or she should have experience working for a Japanese automotive supplier.

Requirements:

·         BS Technical degree (Engineering Preferred)

·         Knowledge of requirements of TS-16949/ISO14001 Quality Systems, quality techniques such as SPC, FMEA, 8-D, Control Plans, and Corrective Action Requests  

·         3-5 years automotive manufacturing experience

·         Must have experience in Lean Manufacturing techniques including six-sigma

·         Statistical aptitude with strong quantitative and analytical skills

·         Strong knowledge of problem solving techniques

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Must have  Machining and/or Die Casting experience

Responsibilities:

·         Perform Internal Quality System Audits to ISO-9000 requirements

·         Coordinates Quality Planning activities on new and/or changes to products and processes

·         Coordinate activities for process monitoring and continuous improvements

·         Liaison between internal and external customers in problem investigation and corrective action

·         Verify that identified dimensions, both controlled and non-controlled meet specified limits

·         Assure that non-conforming materials are identified, and separated for acceptable production material

·         Assist in tracking and calibration of gages
