Quality Manager

 

Our Client, a Fortune 500 company, is a global supplier of systems and services to the aerospace, defense and homeland security markets. The company serves a global customer base, with facilities in 16 countries worldwide.

 

We are looking for a Quality Manager, in our Client's Central New York Manufacturing Facility,  that will be responsible for providing managerial and technical leadership to the quality staff including budgeting, planning, selecting, training and the evaluation of personnel.  They will support the effective implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) by serving as a customer advocate while supporting business objectives by ensuring the compliance of products and processes to ensure safe and reliable products.

The Quality Manager will oversee the daily activities of the functional quality organization engaged in testing activities.  Monitor performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. Proactively lead in the development and effective implementation of robust processes to drive toward zero-defect quality performance.

Communicate QMS matters to all relevant organizational departments, outside vendors, or contractors. Oversee the compliance of products and processes supporting business objectives while serving as a customer advocate to ensure that customer requirements are met.

Basic Qualifications:

 

Four year degree in Engineering, Business or related field or 8 years of experience in lieu of education.

3+ years of experience in the field with emphasis on manufacture of mechanical parts

2+ years experience of either direct supervision or getting work done through others (e.g. project leadership)

Strong background in QMS and application of measurement, analysis and continuous improvement tools.

One or more of the following certifications preferred: Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Manfuacturing Engineer, AS9100 Lead Assessor, Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence, Project Management Professional, Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.

Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

Ø      Support, enhancements and continued development of Plant/Manufacturing Automation Systems. 

Ø      Act as the technical lead, as well as an individual contributor on these engagements, contributing to software architecture design, development of software applications, and integration into enterprise systems.

Ø      Maintenance of existing automated systems.

Ø      Application of mature engineering knowledge in planning and conducting projects having a scope for independent accomplishment and coordination of responsible assignments

Ø      Application of state-of-the-art technology and techniques to resolve complex engineering problems

Ø      Performs special study programs involving technical data of a complex nature
