Description
Our client is one of the world's leading manufacturers of currency collectors and other unattended transaction systems. Their brand has world wide recognition in vending, soft drink, gaming, amusement, transportation, tele-communications, retail, and kiosk markets. Today, their electronic payment systems are relied upon for more than 2 billion transactions per week in 100 countries.
We have been retained to help our client's new product development group identify Hardware Engineers that will design and develop embedded systems, with high concentration on low noise, high speed data acquisition systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Candidate should have 3+ years experience in the design and development of embedded systems
- Digital and Analog design experience required
- Direct hands-on experience in development low noise, high speed data acquisition systems required
- DSP experience
- Experience with RF design, test and measurement in the ISM bands is desirable
Responsibilities
- Design and development of embedded systems, with high concentration on low noise, high speed data acquisition systems
- Coordinate Alpha and Beta builds, and lead the Design Proving activities to verify the design complies with all its requirements
- Design, debug, and document designs, HW verification tests, and test results
- Hold/attend design reviews
- Work closely with software developers during the concept stages of development to architect systems and throughout system development
- Must work well with internal customers such as Marketing and other engineering functions within the business
- Support UL/FCC/EMC compliance activities
- Support transition into production by interfacing with Test Engineering group, training technicians on the manufacturing floor, and tech support personnel
