Service Manager

Summary for Service Manager in Beltsville, MD 

We have been retained to identify Service Managers that are responsible for monitoring, managing, and mentoring staff regarding all aspects of account management for the customers serviced by their assigned team. The Service Manager is responsible for motivating team performance, maintaining good customer relationships, and increasing revenue and account profitability.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Lead a Team of Route Sales Reps and Support Staff that provide World Class Service to their weekly customer base  
  • Continually improve customer service, increase customer loyalty and minimize lost business.
  • Support company growth objectives and maximize existing account revenue through the introduction of new products.
  • Optimize Existing Routes and ensure scheduling is efficient and provides the greatest opportunity for Route Service Reps to provide exceptional service to their customer base. .
  • Proactively visit customers and establish strong business relationships in accordance with customer visitation program.   
  • Execute performance metrics and lead the team of Route Service Professionals.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manage 4-8 Route Service Representatives (RSR) an Assistant Service Manager (ASM) and a Route Training Coordinator (RTC).
  • Monitor work performance for compliance with company and department policies, including but not limited to attendance/punctuality, customer service, poor work performance, etc.
  • Responsible for work force development of personnel; from on-boarding, coaching, training and implementing succession planning for promotion of team members.
