Radar Systems Engineer

Job Description:

Our Local Client  is currently seeking a Radar Systems Engineer. They have developed a revolutionary new radar system to detect fired mortar rounds. Experienced radar systems engineers are needed to develop new generations of the Lightweight Counter-Mortar Radar (LCMR) and enhance the capabilities of the current system and related technologies.

The LCMR was identified as the "U.S. Army's Top 10 Invention" in 2005. The radar's unique lightweight, portable design, and 360-degree coverage has made it critical in protecting U.S. Forces.

This Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, and testing of advanced radar systems. Duties will include architecture development; analysis through integration and test; performing trade studies; creating requirement and design specs; performing simulations; and supporting customer presentations. This individual will work closely with interdisciplinary design team in our Syracuse office to ensure system requirements are met. This individual will also travel to various test sites in the U.S.   Also looking in the future for Road Warriors that will travel to Contingency Theaters.


Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, math, or physics is required, but a master's degree is preferred.  3.7 GPA or higher

 

Candidate must have 2 or more years of practical working experience with radar system(s).

 

Solid Matlab and C/C++ experience a plus.

 

Experience with digital signal processing algorithms, techniques, and related technologies.

 

Outstanding technical writing skills and capable of capturing complex ideas and concepts in technical reports and documents.

Security Clearance Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Citizen. Applicants selected will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
